CALL FOR
ARTISTS
We invite artists from North Carolina, South Carolina, and beyond to participate in our three day event and challenge and inspire the way we see our art!
Important Info for the 2025 Show: As the popularity of our show grows, we find ourselves with space constraints. For this reason, we have to limit the number of participating artists in 2025. Applications will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis. Additionally, each artist is limited to TWO pieces instead of three this year.
WELCOME ARTISTS!
We are excited that you are interested in participating in our art show! BEFORE you submit your application, please read the submission guidelines carefully as some rules have changed for the upcoming 2025 show.

Judge for 2025
This year's judge is Joseph Bounds.
Joseph is a ceramic artist and painter based in Wilmington, North Carolina. He
holds a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he studied drawing
and painting, developing a deep appreciation for materiality and process. His current
work in ceramics is influenced by nature and traditional Japanese aesthetics,
emphasizing organic forms, rich textures, and atmospheric surfaces.
Specializing in wood-fired ceramics, Bounds embraces the unpredictability of fire and
ash, allowing natural forces to shape the final surface of his pieces. His paintings, often
textural and gestural, reflect a similar sensitivity to movement and depth. Across both
mediums, his work explores the relationship between control and spontaneity, process
and transformation.
Bounds is the founder of Gallery 906, a contemporary art space showcasing North
Carolina artists and offering workshops in pottery and painting. Through his studio
practice and teaching, he fosters a deeper appreciation for craftsmanship and artistic
exploration.
