SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR
Thank you artists for your interest in our annual Art Show & Sale. Please read the following submissions guidelines before applying to the show.
Artists may submit ORIGINAL two-dimensional (2-D) work to include painting, pastel, drawing, printmaking, photography, digital imaging, mosaics, stained glass, mixed media, and three-dimensional (3-D) work.
All work must be original in concept, composition, and execution. No kits or copies of previous work will be accepted.
All work must be for sale with a 30% commission to Sunset Vision Group retained on all sales.
Artists may submit up to 2 pieces of art per entry fee in any category.
Sunset Vision Group reserves the right to refuse any work that does not match the Entry and Submission guidelines or meet show criteria.
All artwork sold will be taken by customer at the close of the show.
No artwork may be removed from the Show by the artist until after 1:00 pm on Saturday, August, 28, 2021.
Must be in quality frames, on 1-1/2” gallery-wrapped canvas, or 1-1/2” cradle, or in a professional presentation.
Must be wired securely (no saw tooth hangers), and ready to hang.
Must not exceed 30" x 40".
May be executed in any medium to include metal, ceramic, glass, wood, paper, mixed, etc.
Jewelry will not be accepted.
Work must weigh 30 lbs. or less.
Freestanding sculptures requiring special mounting or suspension will not be accepted.
Top-heavy or unstable work will not be accepted.
3D work with a top, or any type of separate piece(s) must have the separate piece(s) secured and labeled.
A non-refundable entry fee is $20 for non-students and $10 for part-time or full-time students of an accredited school.
An application form must be completed and each artist must register by July 30, 2021.
The entry fee and application must be submitted online or mailed directly to: Sunset Vision P.O. Box 6244 Sunset Beach, NC 28468. Attention: Art Show. Payment is due prior to delivering artwork.
Artwork must be hand-delivered on: Thurs. 8/19 between 2 to 4 pm and Friday, 8/20 between 2 to 4 pm to: 690 Sunset Blvd. Suite 207-B (McLeod Bldg next to Town Hall).
All artwork, when delivered, must include the following information: (1) First and Last name (this is the name that will appear in your bio, on your wall label, and in the program. (2) Title of the work, (3) Medium, (4) Category (2D, 3D, etc.), and (5) sale price.
Artists are responsible for setting the price of each of their works.
