Did you know that Sunset Beach is the number 10 stop on the North Carolina Birding Trail? We have more than 260 species of birds living or visiting the area each year, making our community a birder’s paradise. To help inspiring nature lovers learn more about the birds they can find here, Sunset Vision funded and installed an educational kiosk at the Bird Walk platform on Shoreline Drive West. The kiosk provides visitors with information about the wildlife they may encounter at the Bird Walk like Wood Storks, Black-crowned Night Herons, White Ibis to name just a few. And don’t forget the alligators!
