2nd Annual Visionary Celebration set to honor Carmel Zetts

It is our pleasure to invite you to attend our Second Annual Visionary Dinner, to be held on Thursday, October 19th at 5:00 p.m. where we will honor Carmel Zetts. A Sunset Visionary is an individual in our community who contributes his or her time, volunteerism, personal and professional skill, and above all vision to make Sunset Beach the ideal community in which to work, play, and live. Carmel’s tireless commitment to preserving our natural coastal heritage makes her a true visionary.

Since the early 1990’s Carmel has shown inspirational leadership which can be witnessed on any given summer day, just before dawn, where she leads more than a dozen sea turtle patrol volunteers in search of fresh sea turtle tracks.  This event will bring together elected officials and community and civic leaders from the area. Given her long history of supporting the Sunset Beach community, we look forward to welcoming her as an honored guest. As coordinator of the Sea Turtle Patrol program, she leads the mission to save the endangered hatchlings. Carmel is also on the ‘speed dial’ of the local Fire and Police departments as the go-to on all issues related to birds, cats, deer, raccoons, turtles, and dogs in rescue situations –24/7. She has committed her life to wildlife conservation as an educator, fundraiser, mentor, and leader. For all of these reasons, and so many more, Carmel Zetts is our Sunset Visionary of the year. Please come celebrate her achievements with us!

This is a ticketed event with limited attendance. Please purchase your tickets soon. For tickets please call Karen Dombrowski at 716.998.6634, Gordon Bokelman at 910.599.0074, or purchase from Carol Corbett at the Waterfront Market.  Email: contact@sunsetvision.org.
